What are basin wrenches? The purpose of a basin wrench is to help you loosen or tighten the mounting nut on your bathroom or kitchen sink.

It is designed to do one thing - to help you install or remove a faucet. Other wrenches and pliers are almost useless when it comes to this task. 

This type of wrench has a pivoting gripping head that sits at the end of a long handle. To use it, apply lubricant to the mounting nut, adjust the wrench head, and then turning the nut.

The basic parts of a pipe wrench are the hook jaw, the nut, the body, the pin, the heel jaw.
