Plumbing Tool List - Best Tools - Part 1

This is a series looking into the best 21 tools for plumbers. From wrenches, to pipe work tools, to safety first tools.

Today, we are analyzing the wrenches section of our 21 tools. Concretely, we are looking into pipe wrenches.

What are pipe wrenches?  Plumbers use pipe wrenches to tighten and loosen nuts and fittings on pipework. The basic parts of a pipe wrench are the hook jaw, the nut, the body, the pin, the heel jaw.

It is used by placing the wrench on the pipe, making sure the pipe is centered in the jaws, adjusting the jaw by turning the nut so it fits the pipe snugly, and pulling or pusing on the pipe wrench in the direction you want the pipe to turn.
